How it Works

AlpacaLease is simple.

Review the alpacas available for lease and make your selections.

Review the contract and fill in the form with the information requested.

The fee for the breeding period is 15% of the animal’s selling price and is due at signing.

If you are leasing a female the lease period ends at the weaning of the current year’s cria.  If you choose to lease for the subsequent year you are free to breed the female to a herdsire approved by Alpacas at Tucker Creek or return the female with cria at side to Alpacas at Tucker Creek for a driveby breeding from any of the Studmaster herdsires available on the farm.  The lease fee is the same for each year. At the end of the lease term the cria is yours--free and clear--just return the mom to us in good health or renew your leasing contract or buy the female and we will register the cria in your name.

If you are leasing a herdsire the lease period ends as agreed.  During the lease term you are free to breed the herdsire as if he were your own.  All breedings must be documented and reported to Alpacas at Tucker Creek to facilitate the registration process.  The revenue generated from outside breedings is solely that of the lessee.

Your responsibilities include:

1.  Signing of the leasing contract and payment at time of signing.

2.  All transportation charges.

3.  All leased animals must be insured for full mortality in the amount of the full selling price.  All herdsires must be insured for fertility as well as mortality.

4.  Full care of feeding, shelter, veterinary care--any and all costs related to their care are yours.

5.  Deciding by the end of the lease term if you wish to renew the lease, return the alpaca, or exercise your option to purchase the alpaca.

Just that simple.
